COVID-19 is not standing in the way of publican recruitment

We asked a snapshot of applicants and users of our website a few questions in a bid to understand further the effects of Covid-19 on their decisions around taking on a pub in the future.

An overwhelming 85% of those surveyed told us that they were still committed to taking on a pub in the future. This news is a positive sign that whilst COVID has disrupted and delayed recruitment in our industry the damage is not impacting future decisions on pursuing the pub trade as a career choice.

The next few months will not be without its challenges, but with industry as resilient as ours and a clear signal from the operators of tomorrow that they are intent on moving into, building and contributing to our nation’s pubs we can take comfort that there will indeed be a swift recovery.
